The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for a robotic mop and vacuum that's mid-range. It has a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the features of its more expensive sibling.
During tests, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats from medium-pile carpets. However, unlike other models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.
1. iRobot Roomba S9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the top-rated robots. It has a lot of features and incredible cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is built into the base of charging. The robot also learns your cleaning habits and suggest automatic schedules for a truly hands-free experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is set up, you can start cleaning automatically with just one button click. You can opt for a general clean that prioritizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal, or opt for two thorough maps of your space to ensure that your entire home is properly arranged.
This robot vacuum performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some other models, and it can even clean up pet hair without much difficulty. It has a difficult time with high-pile carpets or plush carpets however iRobot claims that future models will be more efficient.
The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are common however we found it only marginally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims that the S9+ has an improved filter system that prevents tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the price price.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to store the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map your interior of your home. It can then clean your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, as well as create virtual boundary markers, so that it can recognize areas that require more attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those on higher-end models and its mopping feature is better still--its spinning pads do a better job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibration pad.
The only issue is that it does not have a second rubber brush for more thorough cleaning, but that's an acceptable price to pay if you want one of the best robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank is also larger than many of its competitors, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it up, even at the highest dirt level.
As for the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than the high-powered settings, produce little noise, so you can work or even watch television without being distracted. It will gently bump into furniture or walls, and then move on when it encounters one.
The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also washes, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is capable of alerting you when something needs attention, for example, the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled vacuuming session having been canceled due to a stuffed dust bin.
You can also create and merge rooms to modify the way that Q Revo manages your home. This feature is useful for those who have different flooring in different areas of your home, or in the event that you have to regularly remove clutter, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac was also one of the best performers in my tests cleaning up debris from carpets and hardwood floors with the first attempt. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it to.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that comes get more info with all the features you can want. It has the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has a self-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans the mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also comes with a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately and prevents it from falling onto furniture and other objects.
The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design. This is thanks to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet in height and depth and weighs almost four pounds--the robot itself and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
This version is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and cleans 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also comes with a larger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
Finally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and voice assistant that operates offline, which means you can control it even when you're not home. It also comes with more mopping options and an intelligent routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean specific areas or rooms of your house instead of just following a set path.
The X2 Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested, due to its mop pads that rotate to scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent too and it enhances suction when it senses carpets to ensure that it does an excellent job. It has a large rechargeable battery that can last up to seven days. The mopping feature of the robot is also extremely effective.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a premium model that comes with a variety of features that aren't typically found on robots of this price. It is able to build detailed floor maps, identify different flooring types, and it's one of the few that can automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These features are great, but they also push the L10s into the luxury category. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners want.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's tall and slim with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features a large bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner as you move around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane, which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, there's one button that basically acts as an on/off switch. The button will activate the vacuum. If you click it again, it will turn it off and transmit it back to its base station. The circular menu in the center of the control panel allows users to select cleaning options or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons will open the settings of the app where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to map out your house. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and identify them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.
The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner, which removes 98.4% debris from our test on hard floors and taking out all but stubborn juice stains. The mops also work well, removing 98.4 percent of the debris from our tile, carpet, and wood tests. However, it wasn't quite as efficient in dealing with sand on the floor, or the quaker oats that are on carpet.
