The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a great choice if you're looking for an affordable robot vacuum and mop. It offers a great mopping experience, but doesn't have the features that make up its more expensive sibling.
During tests it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats out of medium-pile carpets. It doesn't employ LIDAR, however, as other models do to map your home.
iRobot Roomba s9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the best-rated robots. It has impressive cleaning power and numerous features such as an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. The robot will learn your cleaning habits, and suggest automatic schedules to give you an effortless cleaning experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once the system is in place it can begin automatic cleaning with a single button. You can opt for a general clean that prioritizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal or go for two thorough mappings of your area to ensure that your home has a clean and tidy appearance.
This robot vacuum performs well on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It can remove pet hair and also suck large objects up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's not able to work with high-pile carpets or plush carpets, but iRobot says that future models will be better.
The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which will allow it to hug walls and furniture. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are standard, but we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with an advanced filtering system that blocks microscopic dust particles and allergens from circulating within your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the price tag.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of a combination of sensors to keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map your interior. It can then clean your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, and establish virtual boundary markers, so it knows to avoid areas that require extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as good as those on higher-end models. Its mopping system is better as its spinning pads clean your floors more effectively than the vibrating pads.
The only drawback is that it doesn't have a second rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but that's an affordable price to pay if you want to get one of the best robots available. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than its competitors, and filling it up only takes two or three cycles, even when you've got the most dirt.
In terms of the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two mopping modes that it has, which are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, generate little noise, allowing you to work or even watch television without interruption. It will gently hit furniture or walls, and then move on whenever it comes across one.
What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for human intervention. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that can automatically transfer physical trash into the bin hidden in the background, as well as washes and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app is capable of notifying you when something needs attention, for example, the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session having been canceled due to a full dust bin.
You can also combine or create rooms to personalize the way Q Revo handles your home. That's a handy feature if you have multiple areas of the home with different floor materials or if there's a lot of items that need to be cleaned out frequently, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac was also one of the best performers in my test and was able to remove debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first attempt. It can also good robot vacuum vacuum up wet spills however I would recommend wiping them dry using a clean cloth before bringing the robot in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum that has a powerful suction that cleans hard and carpet floors, and the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough staining. It also has a self-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also has a sensor system that recognizes obstacles better which allows it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.
The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet tall and deep and weighs almost four pounds--the robot itself and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
This model is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has faster battery charging and can complete a cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet with just one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris, making it easier to empty it when needed.
The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that works even when you're not at home. It also comes with additional mopping modes as well as an intelligent routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean certain rooms or areas of your home instead of simply following a predetermined route.
The X2 Omni is the top mopping robot. Its mop pads that rotate scrub away tough stains, and its motor creates lots of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding, and it also increases suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as efficient as any we've seen in a consumer-grade robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a high-end model that offers a number of convenience features not often found on robots of this price. It can make detailed floor maps and detect different flooring types. It's also among the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. While these features are nice to have but they also put the L10s Ultra in the category of luxury which could make it slightly more expensive than what some homeowners require.
Designed to look like a contemporary floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish that's highlighted by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which protects furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving around the home. Sensors are concealed behind the front panel, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, you'll find a single button that essentially is a switch for on and off. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The center of the control panel includes a circular menu that allows you to select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will allow you to access the settings in the app, which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. This produces a precise floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR also lets the robot vacuum recognize and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for households with children or pets.
The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability, clearing 98.4% of debris from our hardwood floor test and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stain. Its mops are efficient, clearing 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile and carpet tests. It was not as efficient in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
